for the first question, how do you know that the angles are 50 and 20??

Because gravity is straight down (perpendicular to the ceiling), if you draw a straight line across from where the tail of vector b meets the head of vector a, the line will hit the gravity vector at 90 and you will form 2 right triangles which, from the original question, have the angles of 40 (so the 3rd angle is 50) and 70 (so the 3rd angle is 20).

Hope that makes sense…

..Man I cant link an image.. I had a cool one too with all the fancy stuff I did to help him/her. How do I upload images her from a spot on my computer?

Go to your page and at the bottom of the page there is a "files" button you can use to upload the file. Then use the command [[image filename]].

Hey for question 3, it shows you as having 10.7 degrees for the angle, which is what I got, but then you crossed it out and used 110 for finding the direction, but still had 508 as the magnitude for the answer. I'm confused, is it supposed to be 9.8? and if so is the magnitude supposed to be 508 still? I will check this as lunch on Friday hopefully someone knows whats up. Thanks!
